After outfitting is completed, the vessel will then head to Berlin sailing the Elbe and the Havel Canal. Its christening is to take place in Berlin on April 14 and its first cruise is planned on April 19 between Berlin and Prague on the Elbe and Moldau.
Developed by Stirling Design International, the company’s second paddlewheel ship after the Loire Princess sailing on the Loire, is 95 meters long, 10.5 meters wide and accomodates 80 passengers in 40 outside cabins. Its shallow and low-air draft allow it to sail year-round between Berlin and Prague, calling at Potsdam, Magdebourg, Wittenberg, Meissen, Dresden, Litomerice and Prague.
A third paddlewheel vessel has been ordered at Neopolia with delivery scheduled for early 2018. Its deployment has not been announced.
