Norwegian appoints new managing director for Europe
Norwegian Cruise Line announced Christian Boell has been appointed as managing director for Europe and will lead the teams in the company’s newly opened Southampton office as well as its existing office locations in Germany and Malta.

He will be based in Germany and report directly to Francis Riley, svp international sales & operations.

'We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Christian Boell, a well-respected and talented marketer with a wealth of experience and a true cruise enthusiast. We welcome him to Norwegian, where his extensive industry know-how will play a vital role in better positioning the Norwegian Cruise Line brand and our innovative Freestyle Cruising concept in our European key markets,' Riley said.

Over the last couple of years, Boell successfully managed different tourism brands and has initiated innovative branding concepts to better meet demand and the requirements of different target groups. Before joining international Steigenberger and Schörghuber hotel group (Arabella Sheraton), he played a major role in the launch and expansion of German cruise lines AIDA and A-ROSA.

In his last position, he headed marketing and sales as managing director of German river brand nicko cruises.
