'Over the past several years, AmaWaterways has experienced tremendous sales growth coming from the Latin American markets. We feel the time is perfect to reinforce the existing team of specialists we have in place to better service and expand our presence in these markets,' said Kristin Karst, evp and co-owner of AmaWaterways.
'With an abundance of key account management experience and a history in developing new market opportunities, Alex is going to be a terrific asset as we continue to grow into the future, helping open doors for AmaWaterways and solidifying our presence in other emerging markets,' Karst added.

Earlier he held a variety of senior sales positions, including vp national accounts and vp national accounts and meetings, incentives, charters and events. He spent nearly four years with Disney Cruise Line as a district sales manager at the company's inception.
'Rudi Schreiner, Kristin Karst and Gary Murphy have assembled remarkable sales, marketing and operations teams,' Pinelo said. 'I am excited to join the AmaWaterways family and to have the opportunity to work with the existing Latin American sales team to continue the growth of this exceptional river cruise product.'
