Norwegian Joy will be continuing NCL's 'Freestyle' concept, which means no fixed dining times or pre-assigned seating. There will be a range of complimentary dining options as well as extra-charge venues.
Among the inclusive options, the Garden Café will offer buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner. The spread will feature Chinese and Western classics and stations preparing dishes à-la-minute.
For a traditional dining experience Norwegian Joy's elegant Manhattan Room will offer a selection of Chinese cuisine complemented by Western-style classics such as steaks and seafood.
The Savor and Taste restaurants also serve a wide array of Chinese cuisine, from traditional to fusion cuisine with pronounced Korean and Japanese accents.
Among the premium offerings, Food Republic (which debuted on 2015's Miami-based Norwegian Escape) allows diners to take a culinary tour of the world via an eclectic menu that draws inspiration from the flavors of Japan and such far-flung lands as Peru. Diners can order creative fusion dishes such as Food Republic's signature hamachi taquitos.
Teppanyaki, meanwhile, presents a Japanese hibachi cooking performance or diners can prepare their own meal with a selection of meats and fresh vegetables at Hot Pot restaurant Sakura & Hibiscus or Korean barbecue table. The Noodle Bar will serve fresh, hand-pulled Chinese noodles and dim sum.
American dining options range from a sophisticated steak house to a classic and casual diner. Cagney's Steakhouse will feature premium cuts like filet mignon and bone-in rib eyes, as well as other classic chops including rack of lamb. Side dishes include asparagus with hollandaise sauce or truffled French fries. American Diner serves comfort food, from meatloaf and potpies to burgers and fried chicken.
Neptune's will feature a buffet of fresh seafood, both chilled and raw, on ice, and diners can order expertly prepared catch from Neptune's à la carte menu, too.
Norwegian Joy's Italian and French venues are NCL signature spots: La Cucina for contemporary Italian pastas and handmade gnocchi, along with meat and seafood dishes, and Le Bistro for refined French cuisine.
The ship reprises The Bake Shop, serving cupcakes, macarons, chocolate pralines and Japanese mocha sweets, to name a few.
When it comes to liquid refreshments, Norwegian Joy has lots of choices. The Grand Tea Room will serve high-end loose leaf teas from China along with elegant snacks and finger foods.
Oenophiles can visit La Cave (French for 'The Cellar') for wine wines and spirits. Patrons can try wines by the glass and purchase bottles to take home after the cruise. There will be a Humidor, Norwegian's cigar lounge.
Cocktail venues include Mixx Bar, Prime Meridian and the poolside Spice H20, while specialty coffees and teas will be available at the Atrium Bar.
