Oceania Cruises scores a record booking day

Bob Binder
President and CEO Bob Binder cited increased demand from repeat guests and new customers alike
Oceania Cruises reported the single best booking day in its 16-year history on April 17 with the opening of sales for the 2020/21 winter season voyages.

The record day represented a 20% increase in bookings over the previous winter season launch.

'The response by consumers and travel advisors to this latest collection of voyages underscores the increased demand we are experiencing from loyal repeat guests and new guests alike,' President and CEO Bob Binder said.

Demand for Japan, Holy Land, Africa, India

Itineraries focusing on Japan were particularly popular, and voyages to the Holy Land, Africa and India had 'exceptional' booking levels.

The winter 2020/21 season consists of 85 itineraries, including 69 that are new, sailing to Asia and Africa, the Caribbean, Cuba, Panama Canal, Mexico, South America, South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.

Six ships will have completed upgrades

The new season will also be the first entire season with six ships having gone through the OceaniaNEXT initiative.

'Although OceaniaNext is an ambitious and sweeping enhancement of the guest experience, our award-winning staff remains the jewel in our crown, always on hand to deliver the most inspired service,' Binder added.
