According to the local port authority the vessel, carrying 669 guests, suffered damage during very bad weather conditions. No one was injured.
The cruise was curtailed on day 10 of a 12 day sailing that departed Venice on October 4, and was scheduled to end in Barcelona on October 16.
All guests were assisted with onward arrangements and offered accommodation where required. Many stayed in Nice for the weekend.
A spokesman for Princess Cruises told Seatrade Cruise News today that the company is looking to conclude repairs in time for Pacific Princess' next sailing on October 28, although this is to be confirmed. 'We are keeping guests who are due to sail on this cruise updated at all times,' he added.
