Paul Gauguin Cruises now offers wedding ceremony and renewal of vows packages at Motu Mahana, the line’s private islet off the coast of Taha’a, or at the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa.

Though the wedding isn't legally binding, it's a romantic and memorable way to celebrate a union.

The motu ceremony features a Polynesian blessing, flower crowns called heis, a deluxe floral arrangements, congratulatory letter from the captain, invitation to dine with the captain or hotel director, in-stateroom bottle of Champagne, reception cake and box of chocolates, and a portrait photo. The cost is $315.

The Bora Bora ceremony features the bride’s arrival at the chapel on a traditional outrigger canoe ride through the lagoonarium and a Tahitian blessing by a local priest in the InterContinental Bora Bora's chapel with glass floors showcasing the lagoon below, and views of Mount Otemanu.

Also included are flower leis for the bride and groom, a tapa (bark cloth) certificate with the couple’s Polynesian name, a two-course lunch at the resort, a love lock to attach to a palm tree in the resort’s Secret Garden of Love, use of the resort’s facilities after the ceremony and transfers. The cost is $950.

The couple can save $50 by combining it with the 'Romantic Escapade' shore excursion or a pre- or post-cruise stay at the InterContinental Bora Bora when arranged by Paul Gauguin Cruises.

The line also offers a gift registry at www.pgcruises.celebrationwishes.com.
