Performing arts take centre stage on Queen Mary 2's 2H 2014 transatlantics
Special performances by members of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and jazz sessions featuring students and faculty members of The Juilliard School in New York will bring an extra dimension to the entertainment line-up aboard Queen Mary 2 this summer and autumn.

The events will take place aboard transatlantic crossings between Southampton and New York - further enhancing the 10th anniversary celebration for Queen Mary 2 in 2014.

The graduate company from RADA will present specially edited and adapted versions of plays and great literary works.  Each show lasts no more than an hour and includes classics such as Hamlet, Arabian Nights and Pride and Prejudice.  In addition, interactive workshops will invite passengers to explore how storytelling can fit into their daily lives.

The Juilliard School Jazz Series will treat passengers to the best in contemporary and classic jazz, performed by students and faculty members of the prestigious New York institution.RADA performances are scheduled during the seven night August 20, 2014 crossing and eight night October 8, 2014 westbound voyage, both sailing from Southampton to New York.  Fares start at £999pp (October departure) for inside accommodation, including the flight from New York to UK.

The Juilliard School members will perform during the eight night July 28 and August 27, 2014 crossings, and the seven night September 27, October 28 and November 19, 2014 eastbound voyages from New York to Southampton.
