Through partnership between the Miami Heat and FCCA Foundation, a group of FCCA Platinum Members experienced a night of superstardom while supporting a good cause and networking with Micky Arison, owner, Miami Heat, and chairman, Carnival Corp. & plc and the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association.

The group arrived at the American Airlines Arena through the Heat locker room, where they found individualized lockers housing personalized jerseys, before going onto the Heat bench for performances by the Heat Dancers and mascot Burnie.

After entrances featuring an introduction by Miami Heat announcer Mike Baiamonte and pyrotechnics that normally heat up sold-out crowds, the members went onto the court for a sit-down dinner on the Miami Heat floor.

All of the $120,000 raised from the event goes to the FCCA Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable organization that aids humanitarian causes in the Caribbean and Latin America. Among those projects is the Holiday Gift Project, benefiting 9,000 underprivileged children in 40 destinations this holiday season.

'We are pleased to assist the amazing work that the FCCA Foundation has been doing for the past 22 years,' Arison said. 'It is important to take care of people in need, which makes it even more gratifying to see the foundation continue to partner with charities who have children counting on them, as well as assisting destinations in times of need."

FCCA president Michele Paige expressed her appreciation, too. 'Everyone who helps the foundation truly is a superstar, and the money raised will be the highlight-worthy assist to deserving people,' she said.
