BEA Architects invites players to sign up as soon as possible, at no cost, for the Charles Towsley Memorial Golf Tournament, set for March 18 in Miami. This third annual charity golf tournament, timed to follow Seatrade Cruise Global, has been renamed for Towsley.

Towsley, a well-known figure in the cruise industry who had served as PortMiami director and in recent years worked for BEA Architects, died Feb. 28.

'We have plenty of openings available. All expenses are paid. We ask all cruise industry friends to come enjoy a round of golf and remember Chuck,' said Bruno-Elias Ramos, principal-in-charge, BEA Architects.

Ramos said Towsley had enjoyed playing in the charity tournament every year.

There is no cost to play; all expenses are covered by BEA Architects. Prizes include a $4,000 cash prize for the winning foursome, as well as a Honda car for anyone who scores a hole-in-one.

All proceeds benefit the Centro Mater Foundation, which provides childcare services to South Florida's immigrant population. Programs include care for infants and toddlers, a pre-school program and after-school care.

Registration is at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start at noon, March 18, at International Links Miami-Melreese Country Club. A boxed lunch and drinks will be provided. The awards banquet, a barbecue dinner at the club house, is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Players are asked to express their interest as soon as possible. Information: [email protected].

Miami-based BEA Architects provides planning, architectural, civil, structural engineering and interior design services as well as construction management. The firm has designed passenger terminals in Europe and the Americas.
