Farrell, a Victorian who will remain in Melbourne, will initially focus on market development in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania and will work closely with Ponant’s sales teams in Sydney, Brisband and Shanghai.
Before joining Silversea almost two years ago, he was sales development manager for Scenic.
Ponant’s vp Asia Pacific Monique Ponfoort said Farrell’s experience in the luxury end of the cruise market positions him well for the rapidly expanding French boutique ship company.
