Ponant to fly its own flag in Paris

Ponant to fly its own flag in Paris
Marseille-based luxury cruise line Ponant plans to open a 250sq mtr pavilion in Paris' elegant 16th arrondissement in order to showcase its cruises.

Located at 72 avenue Victor Hugo, this new shopfront due to open before the end of the year will 'crystalize the Ponant spirit,' according to Hervé Bellaiche, commercial and marketing deputy general manager.

Fitted out by Jean-Philippe Nuel, designer of the interiors of the four Ponant megayachts, the office will feature a room similar to the theatre on board Le Lyrial but on a smaller scale, for client meetings, promotional events and lecturers.

It also will be used for travel agent training, a partnership the company aims to widen since it currently works with only 800 of the 4,000 agents who sell cruises in France.

In addition, the Ponant Pavilion will be a sales office for the company. After Paris, Ponant intends to open similar dedicated spaces in other countries.
