Royal Caribbean International’s Enchantment of the Seas was welcomed back to Port Canaveral today as the ship launched a new season of three- and four-night Bahamas cruises.

Port Canaveral was the home for the 2,950-passenger Enchantment until 2016.

Three-night cruises sail Fridays and call at Nassau the following day and CocoCay the day after that, while four-night cruises depart Mondays and include a sea day before Nassau and CocoCay.

Valued partnership

'Port Canaveral is proud of its partnership with Royal Caribbean and we are excited that the Enchantment has returned to our port with a lineup of exceptional sailings,' port CEO Capt. John Murray said. 'We value our longtime relationship with Royal Caribbean and are gratified for their confidence in our delivery of a top-notch experience for cruise guests.'

RCI president and CEO Michael Bayley called Enchantment's cruises 'the perfect short getaway.'

Chairman of the Canaveral Port Authority Commission Wayne Justice, retired US Coast Guard admiral, joined port staff in welcoming the ship. He presented Enchantment of the Seas Capt. Toni Tomljanovic a plaque to commemorate the vessel’s return.
