Port Everglades passenger count rises slightly

Holland America Line's Koningsdam joined the port's lineup in fiscal 2017
The number of multi-day cruise passengers edged up 2% at Port Everglades in fiscal 2017, which ended Sept. 30.

Some 3,738,252 revenue passengers were recorded, up from 3,680,549 in fiscal 2016.

Cruise ships joining the port's lineup in fiscal 2017 included Royal Caribbean International's Harmony of the Seas and Holland America Line's Koningsdam.

Adding in ferry passengers Port Everglades' total revenue passengers count was up 1%, to 3,863,662 in fiscal 2017.
