2018 was the second year in row that the port chalked up more than 1m passenger moves
The Port of Seattle Commission's 2019-2023 capital investment plan includes $100m for a new cruise berth. That amount assumes 50% tenant cost share.

The commission on Tuesday approved its 2019 budget and a five-year capital development plan that outlines the port's blueprint to invest $348m in more than 20 key maritime and economic development projects. A new cruise berth is among them.

Cruise growth a priority

Supporting cruise passenger growth is one of the port's key initiatives for 2019.

During 2018, Seattle's 20th year handling cruise ships, the port welcomed 1,114,888 revenue passengers, the second year in a row of more than 1m passenger movements.
