Cruising's busiest homeport worldwide resumed ship operations this morning following the passage of Hurricane Irma, and six cruise vessels were able to return.

They are Carnival Glory, Carnival Vista, Carnival Victory, Enchantment of the Seas, Norwegian Escape and MSC Divina. Carnival Sensation went to Port Everglades instead.

At 5 a.m. Wednesday the US Coast Guard captain of the port gave the green light for ship operations during daylight, followed by the OK to return to normal operations at 1:30 p.m. This came after the all-clear, initially with daylight restrictions, for Port Everglades and Port Canaveral on Tuesday. Port Everglades since has returned to normal operations.
