The record-breaking 900-plus-days deployment will see Princess carry more passengers than ever on board five ships on itineraries from Sydney, Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.
Stuart Allison, SVP Asia Pacific, said the season will be spearheaded by the maiden arrival of the 3,080-passenger Ruby Princess and the return of 3,560-passenger Majestic Princess for a second season.
Allison said Majestic and Ruby will cruise 444 days out of Sydney, carrying more than 100,000 passengers.
‘Our largest deployment will feature five ships sailing from six homeports on over 125 departures across more than 60 itineraries to over 100 destinations in 30 countries,’ he said.
‘The arrival of Ruby Princess, combined with news of Majestic’s return before she has completed her maiden season here, means we will have two of the four latest Princess ships sailing in this region which speaks to the momentous growth of our market.’
In another milestone, Princess will spend an unprecedented 141 days deployed in Fremantle, the largest financial commitment to the state of Western Australia by a cruise brand.
South Australia will also see a surge in cruise ships sailing to and from the region, with Golden Princess, Sun Princess and Majestic Princess completing itineraries to and from Adelaide.
In Brisbane, Sea Princess will return to operate itineraries spanning two to 35 days, calling at destinations across New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Coral Sea, South Pacific and Hawaii. Highlights include a new 10-day voyage to Tasmania, with calls at Burnie, Port Arthur, Hobart and Sydney.
Golden Princess returns to Melbourne, sailing to destinations in New Zealand, South Australia and the South Pacific. Highlights include a new 14-day Queensland cruise with calls at Airlie Beach, Yorkey’s Knob, Port Douglas, Brisbane, Newcastle and Sydney.
