Pullmantur Cruises added a new menu of gluten-free and lactose-free meals across all ships.

The cruise line is offering up to ten starters, ten main dishes and six desserts replacing milk or egg products in classic recipes that include olive oil, cream of soy and other non-dairy products.

Passengers are requested to indicate their needs at time of booking.

‘At Pullmantur Cruises we want all of our passengers to enjoy their vacations with complete peace of mind and to feel at home. For this reason, we have thought of all the people who have the need to adapt their diet avoiding both gluten and lactose and we have incorporated an extensive menu carefully designed for them,’ remarked president and ceo, Richard J. Vogel.

The menu of gluten-free and lactose-free food includes the possibility of tasting menus of chicken, veal or lamb meat; of fish, such as hake or grilled salmon, and various types of pasta, including spaghetti with seafood, fusilli in basil oil and lasagna.

In addition, four types of salads are offered: chicken, tomato with onion and black olives, and varieties of lettuce with tomato, avocado and herb vinaigrette or with green beans, tuna, tomato and onion.

For the sweet tooth, the dessert menu includes everything from fruit salad to gluten-free banana and chocolate crepes, vanilla cakes with strawberry or chocolate cream with warm vanilla sauce, pear poached in red wine coated with pistachio and tofu cream with chocolate.
