Queen Mary 2 to showcase Marilyn Monroe film costumes and jewellery
Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 will showcase highlights from the largest privately owned Marilyn Monroe collection on the line’s transatlantic crossing, August 9-16, 2016.

Celebrity auction house Julien’s Auctions will display items from David Gainsborough-Roberts’ Marilyn Monroe Collection, the world’s largest collection of film-worn Marilyn Monroe costumes, on board Queen Mary 2 for passengers to view and purchase.

The collection comprises film costumes, personal gowns and clothing, jewellery, property owned by Monroe, and original photographs and film posters.

'For as long as I can remember, Marilyn has been a part of my life and over many years I have built up my own private Marilyn Collection,' said Gainsborough Roberts. 'It is now time for me to share this with the world, which I am proud to dedicate to her name on this year of her 90th Birthday Anniversary.'
