RCL veteran Trescastro lands key role with Metro Cruise Services

Juan Trescastro - will work closely with Metro management to expand the brand
Juan Trescastro, who spent 17 years with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. in senior port roles, joined Metro Cruise Services as svp business development.

He'll work closely with management to expand the Metro brand. Trescastro will be based in South Florida from Metro's Fort Lauderdale office and report to Metro president Stefano Borzone.

Most recently Trescastro served as vp worldwide port operations for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises and Pullmantur Cruises.

He was responsible for more than 8,000 ship calls per year, spanning 475 ports in 107 countries. He also was instrumental in the development of the Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey, as well as Terminal 18 at Port Everglades, two of the highest rated cruise facilities in the world.

Trescastro left RCL in early 2016.
