'No camera lens, Facebook post nor tweet can truly capture the beauty and sheer awe of what it feels like to sail up close to a glacier or see an eagle soar overhead,' Regent's Jason Montague said
According to Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the peak booking time for 2019 Alaska sailings is now. The majority of Regent’s 2018 Alaska voyages were booked in October, November and December 2017.

The line announced free or reduced rates for youth 17 and under in Alaska next summer as well as savings on pre- and post-cruise land packages.

17 departures, from seven to 12 nights

Regent is offering 17 Alaska voyages from May 16 through Sept. 30, ranging from seven to 12 nights. Seven Seas Mariner will sail the Inside and Outside Passage, visiting ports like Seward, Icy Strait (Hoonah), Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway and Wrangell, with scenic cruising of Hubbard Glacier.

'Luxury travelers are increasingly interested in visiting Alaska and a cruise is truly the best way to see all of the beauty the destination offers,' Regent president and CEO Jason Montague said. He added: 'No camera lens, Facebook post nor tweet can truly capture the beauty and sheer awe of what it feels like to sail up close to a glacier or see an eagle soar overhead.'

2019 Alaska voyages will feature guest lecturer Terry Breen, a renowned, published Alaska specialist who has been sailing the Inside Passage for more than 20 years. Some of the excursions that are included in Regent's pricing are 'Mendenhall Glacier River Float,' 'Tongass Rainforest Nature Hike,' 'Ocean Raft Adventures' (at speeds up to 50 mph), 'Spasski River Valley Wildlife And Bear Search' and 'Craft Beer And Spirits Tasting Adventure.'

New 'Ultimate Rocky Mountaineer Land Program'

A new 2019 add-on, 'Ultimate Rocky Mountaineer Land Program,' is a five- to six-night experience that takes travelers on a train ride through iconic towns and cities of the Pacific Northwest, along the spectacular Canadian Rockies from the comfort of custom-built, glass-domed carriages, complete with award-winning service and five-star dining.

Available on 15 voyages next year, a promotion gives savings up to $6,000 off the combined package fare when travelers book a cruise with the Ultimate Rocky Mountaineer Land Program by Dec. 15, 2018.

Savings for families

Youth 17 and under can sail free on select 10- and 11-night Alaska voyages, and for $499 on select seven-night voyages. Regent’s Club Mariner Youth Program, offered on all the Alaska cruises, gives 5- to 17-year-olds the chance to participate in a range of activities related Alaskan culture, wildlife and nature, and includes games and movie nights.
