Registration opens for FCCA's 2016 conference in San Juan
Registration has opened for the 23rd annual Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Conference & Trade Show, taking place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Sept. 26-30.

More than 1,000 cruise tourism stakeholders and over 100 FCCA member line executives are expected for the event, consisting of meetings, workshops, a trade show and networking opportunities.

'The FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show helps cruise tourism stakeholders maximize their business. In addition to imparting necessary operational knowledge, the event provides an invaluable resource—knowing the right people—by linking attendees with some of industry's most important decision-makers,' said FCCA/Carnival Corp. chairman Micky Arison, who will be on hand.

Among the representatives of FCCA's 19 member lines will be executives who decide where ships call, what products are sold and used on board, and investments in destinations and infrastructure. Attendees can access these decision-makers in business sessions, at one-on-one meetings with pre-selected cruise executives, social functions and workshops on current issues. Cruise line presidents and chief executives also will take part in a round-table discussion.

A perennial attendee, Adam Goldstein, president and chief operating officer, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., said he looks forward to interacting with key stakeholders at the event, where regional destinations and operators can learn about the industry's latest developments.

In the trade show special destination pavilions gather vendors, tour operators, ministries and port operators.

Attendees can experience San Juan and its new infrastructure. The port handled more than 1.6m cruise passengers from FCCA member lines last year, a 17% increase since the destination last hosted the event in 2011.
