Norwegian Star is expected to sail on schedule from Auckland to Singapore on February 18
The technical faults with Norwegian Star’s Azipod propulsion system were repaired in Melbourne and the ship was cleared to sail at 2 p.m. Tuesday local time.

After a short sea trial period, she will proceed directly to Auckland where she is due to arrive on the morning of February 18.

Passengers embarking in Auckland on February 18 for the 19-night voyage to Singapore will be contacted in the next 48 hours to confirm embarkation time.

She is scheduled to call at Bay of Islands, Sydney, Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Cairns, Darwin, Komodo Island, Bali and Port Kelang before arriving at Singapore's Marina Bay Cruise Centre on March 9.

In a statement Norwegian Cruise Line extended its ‘sincerest appreciation to all our guests for their patience and understanding during this cruise and to the ship’s crew for ensuring that all guests were able to make the most of their amended journey.’

Over the weekend Norwegian Star had been towed to shore following a propulsion failure about 20 miles off the coast.
