Rostock Port is expecting further growth of its cruise business this year, having received 192 reservations for the season running between April 27 and October 12, 2017. According to the Rostock Port GmbH, passenger movements are expected to increase slightly from 766,000 in 2016 to more than 800,000.

178 cruise calls are going to be handled at Warnemünde, while the others are scheduled to berth in the Überseehafen docks. Full turnarounds account for 50 calls, among them 40 scheduled by AIDA Cruises.

In addition, 61 partial turnarounds will be conducted mainly by Costa Cruises, MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line. Five maiden calls are expected this year, with the Columbus, MSC Magnifica, Norwegian Getaway, Seven Seas Explorer and Viking Sky visiting Rostock for the first time.

According to the port operator, Rostock Port is the sixth frequently called Baltic cruise port behind Copenhagen, St Petersburg, Tallinn, Stockholm and Helsinki.
