Rouen gets ready for golf’s Ryder Cup in 2018
Following yesterday's climax of this year's Ryder Cup with the United States beating Europe, the dates for the next contest are set for September 25-30, 2018 in France.

The 42nd Ryder Cup will be contested over L’Albatros Course at Le Golf National in Paris, and Rouen will be the closest cruise port to the location.

The competition will be over the final three days from Friday-Sunday, with prior practice days providing an excellent way of watching the sport’s leading stars compete at very close range.

Situated to the west side of Paris just south of Versailles, the course is about 75 miles from Rouen and an ideal overnight stopover for ships up to 240mtr in length.

Rouen also offers a range of alternative attractions for golf-widows and widowers: as the home of the Impressionist Art movement and much of Monet’s work, the site of Joan of Arc’s trial, crucifixion and subsequent pardon, plus numerous shopping opportunities.
