Royal Caribbean rolls out mid-cruise overnight tours
Royal Caribbean International's new Multi-Day Adventures program offers immersive two-day overnight explorations in regions from the Caribbean and Europe to Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Participants depart the ship mid-cruise then rejoin at the next port.

The fully guided tours focus on iconic and inspiring places and include dining, airfare (where applicable), highly rated hotel accommodations and ground transportation.

Examples include 'Tikal and Ceremonial Show,' beginning with a flight from Belize to Guatemala (or from Honduras to Guatemala) to visit the ancient Mayan capital on an overnight tour. Participants embark on an expedition into the jungle to walk the ruins of the Mayan empire at Tikal National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An authentic Mayan ceremonial experience is part of the program.

'Agrolida Region and Katakolon,' a two-day excursion, takes travelers back in time to Greece’s famous citadels. Participants will visit the Acropolis of Athens and the ancient Mycenae site of Argolida. They'll stay the evening in the Mediterranean nation’s first capital, Nafpolio, and travel to Olympia, where the ancient Olympic Games took place.

A two-day adventure to Bangkok takes participants into the city’s canals and river tributaries via motor launch and visits monuments and sites including the Wat Traimit, known as the 'Temple of the Golden Buddha,' the Asiatique riverfront, Wat Arun ('Temple of Dawn') and the Grand Palace, adorned with murals and gilded spires.
