Adventure of the Seas will return to St. Thomas on Nov. 10 and a grand reopening of Magens Bay is set for that day
Royal Caribbean International set Nov. 10 as the date for its return to St. Thomas for the first time since early September, with Adventure of the Seas.

In partnership with the government of the US Virgin Islands, Royal Caribbean also has committed to undertaking the complete restoration of Magens Bay, one of St. Thomas' most popular tourist attractions, with plans for a grand reopening during Adventure of the Seas' Nov. 10 visit.

With power and water to the island fully restored and most downtown shops, restaurants and bars and tour operators fully operational following hurricanes Irma and Maria, passengers will be able to experience a diverse and extensive array of dining, shopping and activities, the cruise line said.

These include boat and catamaran excursions to some of the region's best beach destinations including Secret Sands Beach, Secret Harbor Beach Club, Lindquist Beach, Abi Beach and Honeymoon Beach on Water Island.

'We are very excited to get back home to our friends in St. Thomas. The Caribbean is our family, having cruised there for nearly 50 years, and the long-standing relationships created in all this time are unwavering,' RCI president and CEO Michael Bayley said. 'We are committed to doing everything we can to help, and proud to support the restoration of the iconic Magens Bay.'

In addition to St. Thomas, Royal Caribbean has committed to resuming San Juan and St. Maarten transit calls by the end of November and is working closely with local governments to announce the exact dates.

Adventure of the Seas has already made two turnarounds at San Juan, starting Oct. 7.

Royal Caribbean said that by Dec. 1, all scheduled calls to the three islands will operate as planned, including visits by the world's largest cruise ships, each sailing with nearly 6,000 new travelers weekly—Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas.
