Ushering in the biggest year ever for Royal Caribbean in Singapore
Royal Caribbean had an early Lunar New Year party for some 200 industry partners last Friday evening to usher in the Year of the Monkey.

The event was also to kick off the company's 2016 program and 'celebrate what will be the biggest year ever for Royal Caribbean in Singapore,' commented  Sean Treacy, managing director Singapore and South-east Asia.

He added, 'we will have an unprecedented variety of ships and itineraries sailing from Singapore this coming year which will lead to a 40% increase in sales over 2015 for Royal Caribbean's Singapore operation.'

Voyager of the Seas which recently underwent a US$80m revitalisation in Singapore’s TUAS shipyard, will offer four sailings from Singapore this May.  Ovation of the Seas will arrive in Asia this June,  fresh from delivery in April. The new ship will undertake two cruises from Singapore. Mariner of the Seas will be back in October to launch her biggest Singapore season ever, with 41 sailings including a couple of new itineraries -  one is the 3-night cruise to Penang, and the other is the 4-night cruise to Phuket.
