Auditions start Feb. 18
Auditions begin Feb. 18 in New York City. Sixteen singers and singer/dancers will be cast.
The tailor-made entertainment program was designed by top-tier Broadway creatives who have worked on stage hits such as 'Miss Saigon,' 'Bronx Tale,' 'Come From Away,' 'Newsies' and others, and incorporates music from different parts of the world to reflect the diversity of Azamara’s passengers and the many ports the boutique line visits.
Shows rotate between ships
'We are excited to continue to elevate the show product for Azamara and reinvent how entertainment is presented to their guests on board,' RWS CEO and founder Ryan Stana said. 'We’ve created a touring model whereby the shows will rotate between ships, allowing for a new guest experience on an annual basis, which is a new way of thinking for cruise ship entertainment.
'With this new package, audiences will also experience hand-made, custom shows offering something new on each ship,' he added. 'We will also offer an elevated technical scenic package and some of the best talent at sea.'
The tour will place singers and dancers in shows reaching from New Zealand to Cuba.
Three new shows to launch in March
Six of the nine productions created by RWS have already debuted on Azamara Pursuit and Azamara Quest, with the remaining three scheduled to launch by March 11 on Azamara Journey.
RWS is a full-service production company that creates custom entertainment, live events and brand experiences worldwide. The Azamara acts are put through an extensive workshop period to fine-tune music selections, artistic direction and choreography, assuring the highest quality of entertainment.
