Scanship entered into a contract with STX France to deliver its environmental technology to another world's largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean International's fifth Oasis-class vessel.

Due for delivery in 2021, it has the capacity to carry more than 9,000 people, including passengers and crew.

Scanship will provide its advanced wastewater purification system and sludge treatment to ensure full compliance with the strictest discharge regulations. The contract is the third for the Oasis series and the 19th newbuild contract awarded Scanship by the French yard.

Scanship CEO Henrik Badin said his company is supplying advanced wastewater purification systems to more than every second cruise ship entering service since 2014.
