Last year, after unveiling a new Egypt and Jordan portfolio of tours and cruise/tours, making use of the recently refurbished Sanctuary Sun Boat III, Scenic added more dates in 2019.

The company cited strong sales for the original 2018 and 2019 departures.

The new dates are in September, October and November next year.

Free air or $1,000 savings

Scenic is also offering free air or $1,000 savings for travelers who book any of the September 2018 through November 2019 departures by Aug. 31, 2018.

For Scenic’s 11-day 'Treasures of Egypt,' the boutique, 18-cabin Sanctuary Sun Boat III travels the Nile between Luxor and Aswan, while on land, the tour uses five-star hotels offering stunning views. Highlights include the Great Pyramids and Sphynx, the World Heritage-listed temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, the antiquities in the Luxor Museum, numerous market visits and city tours, and watching the sunset during a private dinner at The Terrace in Aswan, where Dame Agatha Christie penned chapters of 'Death on the Nile.'

Fares start at $5,395 per person, double occupancy.

Jordan land tour

The 10-day 'Kingdom of Jordan Unveiled' is a land-based, deep exploration of Jordan. Highlights include two nights in Amman and a reenactment of the Roman chariot races; the World-Heritage city of Petra, where travelers get a private visit to the Royal Automobile Museum; following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia in the desert landscapes of Wadi Rum and floating (or cruising) in the hypersaline waters of the Red Sea. Fares start at $4,495.

Both trips are combined in 'The Essence of Egypt and Jordan,' a 20-day adventure with fares starting at $9,495.
