Scenic Eclipse passengers can explore Antarctica by helicopter, submarine, Zodiac and kayak
With two helicopters and a seven-seat submarine, Scenic Eclipse promises new dimensions of exploration in Antarctica.

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours’ 11-day 'Ultimate Antarctica' programs provide six days of exploration on the White Continent, including Zodiac expeditions and kayaking. Shipboard experts will cover a diverse range of topics, including geology, marine biology, ornithology and history, in both lectures and as guides.

Six departures are offered from December 2018 through February 2019.

The 228-passenger Scenic Eclipse (capped at 200 for Antarctica sailings) also promises a level of luxury equal to the best five-star resorts.

The 114 suites range from the spacious 344-square-foot Verandah Suite to the over-the-top 2,500-square-foot, two-bedroom Owner’s Penthouse Suite. There is no surcharge for specialty dining, top-shelf beverages are included and the crew to passenger ratio, including butler service, is almost 1:1.

Gratuities are included in the fare as are Wi-Fi and shore excursions, plus a selection of Scenic Freechoice activities to personalize the experience and Scenic Enrich special events.

There are six dining choices: French cuisine, pan-Asian, Italian, steak and casual al-fresco dining on the Pool Deck or in the Ocean Cafe Lounge.

Scenic Eclipse also offers a nearly 5,000-square-foot spa, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis and plunge pools.

The company said that departing Ushuaia, Argentina, travelers should feel at ease during the passage thanks to the ship's stabilizer fins that are 50% larger than standard. The zero-speed stabilizers also work when Scenic Eclipse is stationary.

Passengers can save by booking until late February 2017 on these and other Scenic Eclipse sailings.
