Seabourn Quest begins its summer season with a 21-day St. Petersburg and Scandinavia cruise on June 18.
Designed for small groups, with a guide-to-participant ratio of 1:14 maximum, the Ventures visit picturesque waterways and fjords, secluded inlets and scenic islands.
Examples include the chance to see puffins, eiders and guillemots on Iceland's small island of Vigur, home to thousands of birds and Europe's smallest post office. The trek is by Zodiac. On a fjord journey through Prins Christian Sund, participants in Zodiacs will be dwarfed by dramatic, high mountain faces and rock massifs as they search for icebergs and waterfalls engorged by meltwater.
During an exploration of Trollfjord, the resident naturalist will lead Zodiacs through this narrow, spectacular fjord in Norway's Lofoten islands, keeping an eye on flora and fauna while watching for moose.
Seabourn's Northern Europe program features 'Seabourn Conversations' with the ship's expedition team. They include Ignacio 'Iggy' Rojas, Ventures leader aboard Seabourn Quest and expedition cruising expert; Dr. Coleen Batey, a senior lecturer in archaeology at the University of Glasgow; Luciano 'Luqui' Bernacchi, a seasoned mountain, ski and naturalist guide; and Kara Weller, an Alaska native with a university research background on both sides of the Atlantic.
