Seabourn Sojourn's 2020 world cruise will sail eastbound from Miami, arriving at San Francisco 146 days, 36 countries and 62 ports later.

Destinations include the Caribbean, Africa, India, Arabia, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia, the South Pacific and Hawaii. The ship departs Miami on Jan. 4, 2020, bound for San Francisco on May 28, 2020. Fares start at $66,999 per person, double occupancy, including taxes, fees and port expenses.

Sixteen overnights in port

The voyage will feature 16 overnights in port, and an additional 18 late evening stays. Several exclusive world cruise events are planned.

Among the highlights is Dakar, Senegal (overnight), the center of French West Africa. The Musée Théodore Monod displays artifacts from the indigenous cultures, while the old slavers’ fortress on Gorée Island tells a tragic tale. The old capital of Saint-Louis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Mombasa, Kenya (two overnights) is also featured, with three days to allow travelers to explore its colorful markets, the 16th-century Portuguese Fort Jesus (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and take safaris to several of Kenya’s famous game parks on overland extensions.

The ship sails up the Saigon River right into the heart of Ho Chi Minh City (overnight), Vietnam's former French colonial capital. The overnight stay allows time to explore the city’s colorful market on a 'Shopping with the Chef' tour and also discover the 'rice bowl' farming region on a full-day river tour in the Mekong Delta.

Seabourn Sojourn will sail over the Great Barrier Reef to Cairns, Queensland (overnight). Two days provide time to explore this vast, subaquatic ecosystem, as well as the nearby, primeval Daintree Rainforest National Park. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Excursions to UNESCO World Heritage Sites

In fact, optional shore excursions in more than 20 ports involve UNESCO World Heritage Sites, thanks to Seabourn's UNESCO partnership. The world cruise will also feature several optional, mid-voyage overland excursions where travelers disembark at one port and rejoin the ship at another port. Programs include the safari parks and game reserves in Kenya and South Africa, India's Taj Mahal and UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Cambodia and Australia.

Seabourn Journeys offer an immersive longer pre- and post-cruise land-based excursion to and from select destinations such as Cape Town, Singapore and Sydney.
