Seabourn's fall 2017/winter 2018 covers vast ground, includes S. Africa return
Seabourn's newly announced fall 2017/winter 2018 cruise schedule sees the new Seabourn Encore heading Down Under, Seabourn Quest in Canada/New England then sailing down South America's coast to Antarctica and Seabourn Odyssey in the Caribbean. Following its Alaska season, Seabourn Sojourn will sail a wide swath, from the South Pacific to the Panama Canal, Caribbean and then embarking on a 152-day eastbound 'Great Oceans Exploration' to Africa and Asia and wrapping up back in Alaska.

In early 2018, Seabourn returns to South Africa, creating opportunities to combine cruises with experiences in the country's game parks and wine country, as well as cultural discovery in the Kwa-zulu homeland.

Beginning in October 2017, Seabourn Encore will depart bound for Australia/New Zealand via three voyages: 21 days through the Holy Land and Arabia from Rome to Dubai, 16 days through Arabia and India to Singapore and 24 days from Singapore to Sydney. The ship's Down Under season features five 16-day voyages between Sydney and Auckland. Then, heading north along the Queensland Coast and Great Barrier Reef to Bali, Seabourn Encore will sail the Java Sea en route to Singapore before cruising back to the Mediterranean.

Seabourn Quest kicks off fall 2017 with four 10-day Canadian Maritimes and New England voyages between Montréal and Boston. A 24-day voyage through the Caribbean and along Brazil's coast takes the ship to Buenos Aires on Nov. 29. There begins a four-voyage season in Antarctica and Patagonia featuring 'Ventures by Seabourn' kayaking excursions. A holiday voyage will add South Georgia. Later, Seabourn Quest heads to the Amazon and then repositions to Europe with a new 24-day itinerary from Manaus, Brazil, to the Cape Verde and Canary Islands.

Following an Atlantic crossing, Seabourn Odyssey's fall 2017 season begins in late October with four 12-day Caribbean cruises round-trip Miami then two 10-day holiday cruises. In January 2018, a 16-day cruise will explore the Western Caribbean followed by 10-day voyages between Barbados and St. Maarten. On April 14, the ship sails for Lisbon and a Europe season.

After summer in Alaska Seabourn Sojourn will sail from Los Angeles on 32-day Hawaii and French Polynesia Pacific sojourn. A Panama Canal voyage follows, ending in Miami before a scheduled drydock at Grand Bahama Shipyard. Caribbean cruises round out the season.

2018 opens with a series of voyages that can be combined into the 'Great Oceans Exploration.' Cruise segments include a 38-day Atlantic Isles and Africa voyage, a 36-day Africa and Orchid Isles cruise to Singapore with calls at South Africa and Indian Ocean ports, a 36-day voyage across Southeast Asia, Australia's Northern Territory and the Philippines and a 21-day Asian capitals voyage from Hong Kong to Kobe, Japan. A 21-day cruise on the Kuroshio Route follows the Japan Current across the Pacific to Alaska and Vancouver.
