Seatrade Cruise Global unveils 2019 keynote panel

The leaders of Carnival Corp. & plc, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and MSC Cruises will debate the state of the global cruise industry at the Seatrade Cruise Global keynote panel as the event returns to Miami in April during new April dates.

Carnival president and CEO Arnold Donald, Royal Caribbean chairman and CEO Richard Fain, NCLH president and CEO Frank Del Rio and MSC Cruises executive chairman Pierfrancesco Vago share the spotlight on April 9.

BBC's Lucy Hockings and UNWTO's Zurab Pololikashvili

The panel will be moderated by BBC World News broadcast journalist Lucy Hockings—who also took part in Seatrade Cruise Med in Lisbon—and will feature a conversation with Zurab Pololikashvili, secretary-general of the World Tourism Organization, who will discuss sustainable tourism.

The panel will take up issues including sustainability, innovation, attracting new cruisers, environmental initiatives, emerging markets, the outlook for China and the rise of expedition cruising.

Return to Miami Beach

Marking its 35th year, Seatrade Cruise Global will return to the newly renovated Miami Beach Convention Center, April 8-11. The keynote event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. April 9.

Chiara Giorgi, brand director for Seatrade Cruise Global, called it an 'extraordinary time in the cruise industry,' with technologically advanced ships, dynamic brands and more choices for travelers than ever before. 'Seatrade Cruise Global brings it all together as the worldwide hub of cruising innovation,' she said, adding that the keynote will present industry leaders and visionaries to 'share invaluable insight on today’s transforming seascape.'
