Seatrade Europe announces keynote, opening session speakers

Michael Thamm, chairman of CLIA Europe and CEO, Costa Group and Carnival Asia, will deliver the keynote address on the opening day of Seatrade Europe, Sept. 11-13 in Hamburg.

Opportunities and challenges

Thamm plans to delve into Europe’s significant role in the cruise industry and how to drive growth across multiple platforms while facing the demands of changing legislation and other global and local challenges.

Thamm will then be joined by a panel of leaders to discuss the state of the European cruise industry. They include Capt. Michael McCarthy, chairman, Cruise Europe; Wybcke Meier, CEO, TUI Cruises; Gianni Onorato, CEO, MSC Cruises; Karl J. Pojer, CEO, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises; and Gavin Smith, SVP International, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
