Seatrade sessions delve into environmental matters

While environmental matters will be part of numerous sessions, including the State of the Global Cruise Industry panel, two Seatrade Cruise Global panels focus in depth on this key subject.

'Energy Consumption & Alternative Fuels' will delve into energy efficiency, the challenges of reducing air emissions and solutions including LNG. 'Innovation in Environmental Stewardship' will take a broader look at issues including waste stream management, technology and innovation, and maximizing the efficiency of environmental investments.

Both sessions are moderated by Bud Darr, svp technical and regulatory affairs, Cruise Lines International Association.

'Energy Consumption & Alternative Fuels,' on March 14, begins with opening remarks by Aziz Bamik, general manager, GTT North America. Speakers include John Grubic, LNG business development – Americas team lead, Shell; Peter Keller, chairman, SEA\LNG and evp, TOTE; Paolo Moretti, chief commercial officer marine & transport, RINA; and Chris Millman, vp corporate marine technology, Carnival Corp. & plc.

'Innovation in Environmental Stewardship,' March 15, features Ryan Allain, vp safety, security and environmental (North America), MSC Cruises; Henrik Badin, ceo, Scanship; John Hicks, global passenger ship manager, Lloyd's Register; and Rich Pruitt, principal, RMP Sustainability.
