Silver Spirit's exclusive enrichment programme for final Med 2015 sailing
Silversea Cruises is set to welcome renowned artist Alexandre Renoir and two Relais & Châteaux Chefs, Erik Arnecke and Fabio Pisani, to host an enhanced enrichment programme on board Silver Spirit's seven-day sailing from Rome to Barcelona departing on November 2, 2015. This exclusive "Farewell Mediterranean" voyage celebrates the culmination of another 'outstanding Mediterranean summer season' reports the company.

The voyage features an overnight stay in Livorno, gateway to the artistic treasures of Florence, as well as calls in Monte Carlo, Marseille, Porto Mahon, and Palma de Mallorca. Contemporary impressionist painter Renoir, great-grandson of French impressionist painter Pierre-August Renoir, will be on board throughout the voyage to present lectures about his grandfather's life and demonstrate his own artistic talents. During the visit to Monte Carlo, Renoir will host an exclusive optional shore excursion to his estate at Cagnes-sur-Mer, where Pierre-August Renoir spent the last years of his life.

Enhanced culinary programmes will accompany the additional cultural programmes. Arnecke, of the Michelin-starred Philipp Soldan restaurant at Germany's Die Sonne Frankenberg Hotel, a Relais & Châteaux member property, and Pisani, of the two Michelin-starred Il Luogo di Aimo e Nadia, a Relais & Châteaux restaurant in Milan will combine their expertise to deliver informative demonstrations and grand gourmet dinners on board.

'We're delighted to showcase the talents of these masters of art and cuisine," said Lisa McAuley, commercial director UK and Ireland.

Other culinary highlights include a demonstration programme with specialised workshops and stimulating cooking competitions hosted by acclaimed culinary trainer David Bilsland, who oversees Silversea's L'École des Chefs programme - the only Relais & Châteaux cooking school at sea.

A wine enrichment programme will showcase a collection of Italy's finest vintages selected exclusively for Silversea guests by the association of top Italian winemakers, Comitato Grandi Cru d'Italia. Gennaro Buono, award-winning sommelier of the two Michelin-starred Il Pagliaccio, a Relais & Châteaux restaurant in Rome, will lead guests to discover the delights of Italian wine.
