Early bird registrations are open for the Australian Cruise Association’s 2018 conference in Broome September 12-14 which is expected to attract around 120 delegates and where Armstrong’s replacement, Susan Bonner, will speak about the challenges of operating big ships in the region and the future opportunities for Royal Caribbean’s brands.

Bonner will be joined by Carnival Australia president and the newly appointed chairman of CLIA Australasia, Sture Myrmell. who will also speak about future plans for his cruise brands and will give a global and national view of the industry.

Capt Mike Drake from Carnival Australia will discuss the challenges of infrastructure from a nautical management perspective and discuss where Australia can make changes to increase port calls at regional destinations.
