Silversea taps NBC, Royal Caribbean veteran as marketing vp for the Americas

Janet Bava - oversees trade and consumer marketing for North and South America
Silversea Cruises hired Janet Bava, formerly with NBC Universal and Royal Caribbean, as vp marketing for the Americas.

Based in Silversea’s Miami office, she will oversee all trade and consumer marketing activities, including advertising, direct marketing and e-marketing programs, across North and South America. Bava reports to Mark Conroy, md of Silversea for the Americas.

Bava brings more than 10 years of marketing experience in the global travel industry with a track record of driving incremental sales at companies such as Royal Caribbean and, most recently, in her role as director of CRM and customer engagement at NBC Universal.

She also has marketing experience in the healthcare industry at companies such as NationsHealth, Initia and Kramer Laboratories.

Bava said she looks forward to 'broadening general awareness of the exclusive experiences available to Silversea guests across the Americas.'

She fills a role previously held by Angela Composto, who left to join Crystal Cruises as vp marketing in June.
