The new appointment was announced aboard Silver Shadow in Dubai prior to the Arabian Travel Market trade show.

'We are excited by the opportunity to source new guests to Silversea across Middle Eastern markets and our offering is perfectly suited to the opportunity,' said Peter Shanks, managing director UK & Ireland and Middle East. 'Our initial focus will be on Mediterranean and Northern Europe sailings, and as we develop the relationship further, I am sure our iconic and varied destination reach will appeal.'

Synergy as part of RCL

Shanks added that the appointment of Safeen is a 'terrific example of the added strength and synergy Silversea can gain from being part of the Royal Caribbean family.'

'We are proud to add Silversea to our stable of Royal Caribbean brands. It allows us to offer our travel partners and guests an unrivaled choice of cruise holidays,' said Mohamed Saeed, general manager, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara for the Middle East.
