Silversea Cruises' 2018 world cruise is a 121-day voyage from Los Angeles to Civitavecchia (Rome) that calls at 60 destinations in 21 countries. Seventeen overnight calls and 13 late-night stays give travelers more time to immerse in local cultures.

Silver Whisper will depart Jan. 6 on 'La Grande Bellezza,' sailing across the Pacific to Hawaii, French Polynesia and New Zealand, then through the Java Sea to Bali, Probolinggo, Semarang and Borneo, then a host of isles in the Philippines.

After two nights in Hong Kong and overnight stays in Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Singapore, Silver Whisper will follow the route of ancient spice traders to Sri Lanka, India and Oman. The cruise continues through the Red Sea to the gateways to Luxor and Petra, islands in Greece and along the coast of Italy to Rome.

Destination experts, academics, journalists, diplomats and other specialists feature in the enrichment program. Local entertainment, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and regional specialties will provide further destination immersion.

Those who book the full world cruise will be invited to a bon voyage reception and overnight hotel stay in Los Angeles on Jan. 5, business class air and transfers, baggage valet service, a $4,000 on-board spending credit (per suite), complimentary laundry and dry cleaning service, unlimited Wi-Fi and commemorative gifts.

All-inclusive fares start at $57,750 per person, double occupancy.
