Silversea's 2018 spans almost 1,000 destinations

Silversea's 2018 spans almost 1,000 destinations
Hundreds of new ports are among the nearly 1,000 destinations Silversea Cruises will visit in 2018.

Highlights include access to tens of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, ranging from the Amalfi Coast to Halong Bay, Vietnam.

With Silver Cloud joining the expedition fleet in 2018 as an ice-class ship following an extensive conversion, the number of expedition ports increases. And Silver Discoverer will sail deeper into Asia, with many new destinations in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines and Japan.

Silver Explorer crosses the Pacific Ocean to Kiribati, the Cook Islands and French Polynesia, adding new ports along the way. The ship will also visit the Pacific Northwest, Costa Rica and the southernmost tip of Mexico’s Baja California.

Other highlights include a 44-day 'grand voyage' through the Mediterranean on the new Silver Muse. The ship will call at 39 ports in nine countries, from the Greek Isles to the Balearics, and from the French Riviera to Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast.

Five voyages will explore the Philippines on three ships—Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper and Silver Muse. An especially noteworthy destination is Palawan, voted world's best island by readers of Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler.

Several voyages feature islands of the Indian Ocean, with visits to the Maldives, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mayotte and Reunion.
