Amber Wilson, appointed Sydney-based gm and director sales/marketing Asia-Pacific for Silversea in August, hosted a media lunch Thursday at the Flying Fish restaurant on the water’s edge of historic Jones Bay finger wharf.

Wilson, who replaces Karen Christensen, now Crystal Cruises’ new regional head, was most recently gm sales and marketing for Cruiseco, the consortium of Australian and New Zealand cruise specialists.

Before that she was the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sales manager for Star Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line.

At the lunch for senior cruise media representatives, she used videos to showcase the launch of the company’s newbuild, Silver Muse, due to enter service in April next year.
