Slowed by tech glitch, Carnival Fantasy switches to Bahamas route
Carnival Fantasy is experiencing a technical problem that is affecting the ship’s maximum cruising speed. As a result, the itinerary for today’s cruise from Miami has been changed to Freeport and Nassau instead of Key West and Cozumel.

Passengers who sail on the revised voyage will receive a $50 per person credit to their on-board accounts as well as a 25% discount on a future cruise.

Carnival Fantasy was scheduled to reposition today from Port Everglades to PortMiami. Delayed clearance from authorities caused the ship to depart Port Everglades later than planned. As a result, embarkation for the voyage was pushed back to this evening.

Passengers already at the cruise terminal were provided free shuttle service to the Bayside shopping and dining complex.
