Port St. Maarten is supporting the FCCA Foundation and Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Conference & Trade Show by serving as title sponsor for the FCCA Table Tennis Challenge.

The event will match Adam Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., one-on-one against opponents trying to slam and volley their way to victory.

Goldstein said he looks forward to the challenge, which combines his passions for table tennis and interacting with cruise tourism stakeholders to aid a worthy cause. The FCCA Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization founded in 1993 to support Caribbean and Latin American humanitarian projects.

'Assisting the FCCA and FCCA Foundation supports two of the most important things to our destination and region: cruise tourism and all of our citizens,' said Mark Mingo, ceo of Port St. Maarten.

Sponsoring the tournament puts St. Maarten in the spotlight in front of cruise executives and stakeholders, according to FCCA president Michele Paige.

The table tennis challenge will take place inside the FCCA Trade Show at Cozumel on the evening of Oct. 7.
