SuperStar Virgo - early bird rates start at 24,500 Philippine pesos ($492) per person
SuperStar Virgo will sail from the Philippine capital between mid-March and the end of May. The five-night cruises visit Laoag in the Phillippines, Kaohsiung in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Laoag, the capital of Ilocos Norte, features Spanish colonial buildings, baroque churches and white-sand beaches. The largest city in southern Taiwan, Kaohsiung is a center of Chinese culture and cuisine. And Hong Kong adds to the itinerary a bustling metropolis world-famous for shopping, dining, entertainment and nightlife.

Passengers can take advantage of 'almost unlimited baggage allowance' with Star Cruises to 'take home the spoils' of a vacation.

While Star Cruises has recruited Filipinos to work on its ships for 23 years, the company is now pleased to welcome them as guests on SuperStar Virgo from its new Manila homeport, said Ang Moo Lim, president, Star Cruises.

Benito C. Bengzon Jr., undersecretary for the Department of Tourism, welcomed the line, adding: 'We are confident that inclusion of the Philippines in the itinerary of SuperStar Virgo will help strengthen the country's position as a competitive cruise destination in the region.'

The cruises are priced at an early bird discount rate starting at 24,500 Philippine pesos ($492) per person for an inside, twin-share stateroom, excluding port and gratuity charges.

That rate is available for departures on March 19, March 24 and March 29. Third and fourth persons in a quad-share get an additional discount, a rate starting at 12,250 pesos ($246).
