SuperStar Virgo will operate a rare 48-day voyage
Star Cruises will return to Australia for the first time in more than a decade with a rare 48-day cruise to the Southern Hemisphere from Hong Kong to be operated by SuperStar Virgo.

In 2003 the company temporarily relocated SuperStar Virgo from Singapore to Fremantle and SuperStar Leo from Hong Kong to Sydney following a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak in Asia.

SuperStar Virgo departs Hong Kong on November 13 and will call at more than 20 ports, including five Australian states, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Segments are available.

‘We are excited to announce this first-ever, long-haul itinerary across the Southern Hemisphere for Star Cruises that will allow our guests to truly experience the diversity of lands and cultures of our corner of the world,’ Ang Moo Lim, evp sales, marketing and hotels, said.

In January last year the company’s flagship underwent a lavish makeover that included upgraded cabins and an expanded duty-free shopping area offering more choices of perfume, cosmetics, fashion accessories and luxury lifestyle products from around the world.

The dining outlets were also upgraded with 13 restaurants and bars serving international cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Indian.
