At a lunch on board Insignia in Sydney Monday Steve Odell, snr vp and md Asia Pacific of Norwegian Cruse Line Holdings Ltd, confirmed that Australia is the second most important cruise market in the world for Oceania Cruises.

Odell and his team showcased Insignia’s OceaniaNEXT revitalisation to local media and trade partners.

‘Australia is one of the first regions in the world to experience the re-inspiration of our R-class vessels, with Insignia boasting 342 brand new designer suites and staterooms and stunning new decor in her restaurants and bars inspired by Oceania’s 450 ports of call,’ Odell said. ‘We are so excited to share her elegant new look with our Australian guests.’

Totally new look

‘It’s not just new carpets,’ Steve McLaughlin, vp sales Australia and New Zealand for Oceania Cruises, said. ‘It’s better than new. It is a totally new look.’

Lobster, caviar, truffles and foie gras

To reinforce the company’s claim to have ‘the finest cuisine at sea’ the lunch hosted by Odell and McLaughlin included lobster with caviar and beef tenderloin with black truffles and foie gras.
